Sterilization indicator tapes

DESCRIPTION AND USE

Self-adhesive sterilisation indicator tapes made of semicreped paper. It sticks on different surfaces such as plastic, metal, fabrics, paper, cardboard, etc. The tapes have high tack adhesive and they offer good resistance to heat and moisture. Also, the tapes are resistant and it is hard to break them.

Do not use as a validator of sterilisers or sterilisation processes.

  • Adhesive tape provided with a sterilization indicator, simultaneously fulfilling the function of packaging adhesive.
  • The support is made of resistant semi-crepe impregnated paper with high formability characteristics.
  • The adhesive used, which leaves no residue when removed, is of superior quality and is designed to resist high temperatures as well as humidity, and it adheres perfectly to the most varied materials (sheets, metals, plastics, non-wovens, cardboard, etc.) .
  • Lead-free chemical indicators are sensitive to various parameters of sterilization cycles.
  • The color of the print on the back of the tape changes from light green to medium dark green as evidence of exposure to the saturated steam sterilization cycle.

  • The exterior (non-adhesive) can be written on with normal pens or pencils.
  • The adhesive used (silicone-based), which leaves no residue when removed, is of superior quality and is designed to resist both high temperatures and humidity, and adheres perfectly to the most varied materials (sheets, metals, plastics, nonwovens, cards, etc.).
  • Chemical indicators are sensitive to various parameters of sterilization cycles.
  • The color of the print on the back of the tape changes from green to brown as evidence of exposure to the dry heat of the sterilization cycle.

  • With high-adhesion glue, they offer good resistance to heat and humidity and are very difficult to break.
  • Designed to check which individual units have been exposed to ethylene oxide sterilization.
  • Also to distinguish between sterilized and non-sterilized units during storage.
  • The printed orange stripes turn yellow after sterilization using ethylene oxide (EO), following the following specifications:
  • Exposure to 600 mg/l EO and 60% relative humidity (RH) for 20 minutes at 54 °C.
  • Exposure to 600 mg/l EO and 60% relative humidity (RH) for 25 minutes at 37 °C.
  • Total thickness: 0.11 +/- 0.01 mm
  • Adhesion: 4-5 N/cm MD
  • Elongation at break: 7%
  • This reference meets the requirements of ISO 11140-1:2005 for process class 1 indicators for steam sterilization.
  • Do not use the device in case of obvious signs of breakage, injuries, cracks that may compromise its correct use.
  • Keep away from flames or heat sources that may damage the device.
  • Do not expose under direct sunlight.
  • Store in a cool, dry place
  • Temperature range: min. -10°C. max + 50°C.
  • Do not use after the expiration date or if the container is opened.
  • Expiration: 24 months
