Deltaswab range tube with ViCUM® medium and flocked swab

INTENDED USE - DESCRIPTION

  • Tube with transport medium: Directive 98/79/EC.

The kit consists of:

  • A tube with 2 ml of ViCUM® universal liquid transport medium.
  • A flocked swab packaged in peel-pack.
  • Presentation of the kit in plastic flow pack.
  • Swab: sterile by radiation (R).
  • Tube with medium: sterile by filtration.

ViCUM® is a universal liquid transport medium formulated with a solution of balanced salts, bovine serum albumin, HEPES buffer, antibiotics and antifungals and suitable preservatives, with a pH that allows the viability of viruses, Chlamydia, Mycoplasma and ureaplasma. Contains phenol red and includes antibiotics that inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi, ensuring suitability in sample recovery. Each tube contains glass beads to facilitate cell lysis, sample homogeneity and maximize elution. Designed for cell culture, performing antigen studies for viral detection and genomic amplification techniques by PCR.
