EDTA tipotassium
Manufactured from transparent polypropylene, robust and resistant to breakage.
Supplied in expanded polystyrene trays (100 tubes by racks).
Tubes feature a unique flexible rubber cap which has two cross cuts and isspecially designed to reseal automatically after introduction or withdrawal of the sample. Material: thermoplastic rubber. Colour: mauve.
Tubes labelled. Indication label: Eurotubo trade, DESCRIPTION: / code, nº lot /F.C.P and volume fill line at 1, 2 or 2.5 ml.
THIS SYSTEM ELIMINATES THE NEED TO REMOVE THE STOPPER WHEN INTRODUCING OR WITHDRAWING BLOOD SAMPLES. Tubes can be used
with most manual, semiautomatic and automatic blood sampling machines, and are suitable for transporting by intra hospital pneumatic systems.

SPECIFIC USE
Additive: EDTA K3 (tripotasic salt of ethylendiaminotetracetic acid)
Activity: as a blood anticoagulant for use in analysis laboratory. Content: 4.11 – 6.84 mM EDTA / ml of blood (1.2 – 2 mg EDTA of anhydride salt); same
than 1.7 – 2.8mg EDTA 3K anhydride)
PRINCIPAL USE:
- For cells count determination (maintains the cell structures stable from 25 minutes aprox. to 4 hours after the extraction).
Other use:
Analysis contraindicated: glucose, potassium, tri-gliceryde and calcium.
Stability: At ambient temperature a stability of 24 months is guaranteed.
Storage: Do not leave to sun exposure for a prolonged time. It is recommended to store tubes at a temperature below 45º C.
Elimination: by incineration at 500ºC with a waste material of 2% from weight of tube (whiting)
