EDTA tripotassium tubes with perforable rubber cap

Tripotassium EDTA fixes Calcium and avoids blood coagulation. It is prepared for a proportion of 1.75 mg/ml meeting the Standard ISO 6710:1995.

The potassium salts of EDTA are more soluble on blood than the sodium ones, so their use is more advisable.

The tubes have an antimicrobial preservative, as well as the atomized anticoagulant inside. The atomized anticoagulant allows an instant mix with the blood and ease an excellent performance of the product, minimizing the coagulation risk.

The tube must be softly agitated 5 times before introducing the blood, to avoid the creation of micro clots.

To obtain plasma it is recommended to centrifugue between 1500 and 1700 xg during 10 minutes (code 611603) and between 1500 and 3000 xg during 10 minutes (code 611604).

COMPONENTS:

Tubes made of clear polypropylene, supplied capped and labeled. Mauve, pierceable (but not pierced) and plugged cap made of thermoplastic rubber. Suitable for hematological automatic machines.

The label indicates code, volume, lot number and expiry date, assuring total traceability.

Tubes supplied in trays of 100 units.

Do not expose to the sun continuously. It is recommended to store at temperature below 45 ºC.

Shelf life: 24 months from its manufacturing date.

It loses its stability at temperatures above 55 ºC.
