Glass Pasteur pipettes, closed tip
Soda glass pipette with two different parts: one with a larger diameter that serves as a receptacle for the aspirated liquid and a thin and narrow capillary part to comfortably reach the sample from any part of the container, tube or container to be aspirated.
Pipette closed at its tip in case it needs to be sterilized, after which the tip must be broken by means of previously sterilized or flamed tweezers for use. To avoid spills, contaminations, stains and losses, a quantity of cotton is sucked in the part where it is aspirated, which acts as a stop or security element.
Widely used in laboratories of any kind, commonly used for the aspiration and separation of different samples, supernatants, or chemical or biological phases, liquid or not very dense. The size of the drop is regular.
It is also used to homogenize or redissolve, after different phases of aspiration and expulsion, solutes that are easily mechanically dissolved in their solvents. The
The pressure that is exerted by means of a pear, a suction-pipette or teats, is increased when the liquid contained passes through the capillary part, being expelled with force, favoring its dissolution and dispersion. Another important utility is the repeated dosing of drops or small amounts of chemicals or reagents on different samples arranged in tubes, jars or bottles.
Absolutely regular in their dimensions: diameter, height and thickness of the walls.
After use, it is advisable to dispose of the pipettes, for example in safety containers if the material handled is infectious or contaminating. (See hygiene and safety section of the general catalog).
In neutral soda glass, closed at the tip and with cotton in the mouth.
The opening of the closed part is simple, by light pressure with the fingers.
