RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PIPETTING
- Hold the pipette upright while aspirating the liquid and submerging the tip a few millimeters into the liquid.
- Pre-rinse the tip, inhaling and expelling the liquid 5 times. It is especially important when dispensing viscous liquids and liquids of different density than water.
- Always control the movements of the pipetting button with your thumb to ensure balance.
- When pipetting liquids at different temperatures, rinse the tip several times before use.
MAINTENANCE
To obtain the best results, the cleanliness of the pipette should be checked. Special attention must be observed with the cone(s) of coupling.
The design of the pipettes allows maintenance to be carried out in the laboratory. However, we can provide you with a comprehensive repair and calibration service that includes a service report and calibration certificate.
Note: Periodically check the functioning of the pipette, e.g. every 3 months and always after any manipulation.
Pipette cleaning
To clean the pipette, use ethanol and a soft, lint-free tissue. It is recommended to clean the coupling cone regularly.
