Autoclave resistants red bags (138ºC)
Classification of waste according to typology:
Type I waste: sanitary waste assimilable to municipal waste.
They do not pose demands on their management, such as cardboard, paper, office and office supplies, kitchens, workshops, gardening, non-infectious patient waste.
Type II waste: non-specific sanitary waste.
Preventive measures in handling, collection, storage and transport within the health center, such as dressing material, plasters, clothing and single-use material contaminated with blood, secretions and / or excretions, etc.
Type III waste: specific or hazardous health waste.
Preventive measures in handling, collection, storage, transport, treatment and disposal, as they may represent a risk to occupational and public health. They can be divided into 5 groups: health or infectious waste, anatomical waste, blood and blood products in liquid form, needles and sharp and cutting material, and live and attenuated vaccines.
Type IV waste: waste in unique regulations.
Subject to special requirements from the hygienic and environmental point of view, both inside and outside the generating center. They include: cytostatic waste, remains of chemical substances, expired medicines, mineral and synthetic oils, waste with metals, radioactive waste and human anatomical remains with entity (the latter regulated by the Mortuary Health Police Regulations).

Autoclave resistants red bags (138ºC):
PURPOSE OF USE - DESCRIPTION
Autoclavable, made of high molecular weight polypropylene 0.055 mm thick.
The silkscreen incorporates an anagram of dangerousness (biological risk) and the precautionary rules that must be taken into account when handling the
bags (in Spanish, English, French and German).
They incorporate an indicator that darkens when the bag is autoclaved.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE IN AUTOCLAVE:
Autoclavable up to 138ºC (280.4ºF), for 20 minutes at a sustained heat level.
When performing the sterilization cycle at 135ºC the process is shortened by 30 minutes. This allows a considerable saving of time, compared to the
standard process at 121ºC.
For autoclaving, the bag must not be hermetically sealed.
