Human DNAsa, RNAsa and DNA free certified swabs, steriles
Sterile swabs, ready and easy to use. Designed for the collection and transport of samples which are supposed to contain DNA strands, with the aim to amplify and identify them with PCR techniques or with other genomic appliances.
They are certified Human DNA free.
They are compounded by a sampling swab packaged in a polypropylene tube intended to protect the sample while it is being transported to the laboratory prior to its analysis.
The stick of the swab is made of polystyrene while the head is produced with viscose or polyester depending on the code.
The tube is labeled indicating code DESCRIPTION:, lot, expiry date, bar code, and providing an identifying area to note down collection details (site, date,…).
Moreover, the label seals the tube with the cap of the swab acting like a tamper evident system.
Expiry date: 48 months from sterilisation date.
INSTRUCIONS OF USE AND PRECAUTIONS:
1. Lead up the swab from the tube by pulling up the cap (twisting it while pulling eases the process).
2. Collect specimen.
3. Insert the swab into the tube.
4. Fill in the label with all the details of the specimen and send it to the lab.
Expiration: 48 months.
