Chlamydia swab. Sterile.
Product specifically designed for the collection of Chlamydia samples and their preservation during transport from the collection site to the laboratory, avoiding variations in the microbial load.
The set consists of:
- A sterile, capped, round-bottomed tube, 13 x 165 mm, made of non-degradable polypropylene. The tube contains the specific transport medium for chlamydiae.
- A swab with PS support, slightly flexible under pressure and cuttable with scissors, fitted with a safety cap that seals the tube hermetically (yellow polyethylene cap).
- A label sealing the cap and the tube. It includes spaces to write down: name of the patient, date and time of sampling, number, doctor, nature of the sample, and name of the hospital. The expiry date, batch number, product DESCRIPTION: and brand name are also indicated.
- A peel-pack that preserves the sterility of the set until the moment of use. Printed on it (see design on next page) are the batch number, expiry date, code, barcode, product DESCRIPTION: and brand name, and instructions for use. Manufactured in clean Room. Expiry date: 12 months from the day of sterilisation. A sterilisation certificate can be supplied on request.
