SafeFAST XXL are microbiological safety cabinets with special dimensions and construction (strength) to house automatic robots or large laboratory equipment inside. They meet the main requirements of the European standard EN 12469:2000. These cabinets protect the integrity of the sample against contamination and protect the researcher and the environment against biological (non-chemical) risk. The air is drawn in at the front and top and then passes through the H14 HEPA/ULPA filter bank underneath the work surface. 30% of the filtered air is recirculated (after passing through a H14 HEPA/ULPA filter) in an ISO Class 3 air cleaning system according to ISO 14644-1 laminar flow pattern down into the working chamber and the remaining 70% is (after passing through a H14 HEPA/ULPA filter) exhausted to the atmosphere.
