Stuart swabs. Sterile

Product specifically designed for microbiological sample collection and its conservation during thetransport from the collection place to the laboratory, avoiding changes of the microbial load.

The kit is composed of:

  • A 13 x 165 mm sterile round bottom tube with cap, made of rigid and undeformable polypropylene, containing the transport medium.
  • A swab with a security cap that closes the tube once the sample is collected (white polyethylene cap).

    • 3 options:

  • Wooden shaft + cotton head.
  • Rigid aluminium shaft (thin, can be manually bowed to create angles) + cotton head.
  • Polystyrene shaft (slightly flexible, can be cut by scissors) + viscose head.
  • A label that seals the cap to the tube. The label provides space for patient’s name, sample collection date and hour, number, doctor, specimen nature and hospital name.

    • Also expiry date, batch number,product DESCRIPTION: and brand are displayed in the label.

  • A peel-pack that contains the tube with the swab, and protects them from external agents before its use. Batch number, bar code, expiry date, product code, brand and DESCRIPTION:, and instructions for use are printed on the peel-pack.

    • Swabs are manufactured in a Clean Room.

    Expiry date: 30 months from sterilisation date (radiation).

    Sterility certificate can be provided upon request.

    Quantity per pallet: 32 boxes.

    Injuries are manufactured following the ISO 9001 and ISO 13485, and have the double CE mark. Both certificates can be supplied under request.
