Citrate tubes for coagulation
Useful for all coagulation tests. The buffered liquid anticoagulant allows the determination of the prothrombin
time up to 12 hours after blood collection.
The ratio citrate:blood is 1:10 (1 vol. anticoagulant + 9 vol. blood).
The sodium citrate acts by fixing calcium and is the preferred anticoagulant for coagulation tests. It is also ideal for ESR, but at another ratio (1:5).
The tri-sodium citrate (0,106 M) is prepared at 3.8% or at 3.2% depending on the code. Stable, it includes a preservative and is buffered with Hepes solution. Tubes
must be discarded if blurred.

Tubes are supplied 10 x 10 in plastic trays (17x16 cm).
Ultraclear polypropylene tubes, inerts.
Flange caps (with raised on top) without skirt code 307105.Manufactured in blue, low density and chemically inert polyethylene.
Labels include filling line, identification, batch number and expiry date.
Expiry date: 15 months from manufacturing date. Stability cannot be maintained above 55ºC, so it is recommended to store tubes below 45ºC, and kept away from sun exposure.
