Tubes with tripotassium EDTA
Tripotassium EDTA acts by fixing calcium and preventing the development of blood clotting.
It is prepared for a proportion of 1.75 mg/ml based on ISO 6710:1995.
The potassium salts of EDTA are more soluble in blood than the sodium salts, so it is more recommended for use.
It also has an antimicrobial preservative.
All tubes have the anticoagulant atomized inside the tube. The anticoagulant atomized allows instant mixing with blood and facilitates excellent performance of the product, minimizing the risk of coagulation.
The tube should be gently shaken (5 times) after adding the blood, to avoid microclot formation
