Cylindrical stirring bars
Magnetic stirring bars:
This section details our vast range of PTFE magnetic stirring bars.
A variety of different sizes and colours is available.
- Micro stirring bars: for use in the smallest containers.
- Cylindrical stirring bars: these are the most common and lend themselves to many general applications. The diameter of the bar chosen will depend on the diameter of the flask sed although it is recommended to select the largest stirring bar possible to achieve optimum results.
- Octagonal stirring bars with pivot ring: ideal where the base of the container may be slightly curved or irregular.
- Triangular stirring bars: these are used primarily to help dissolve solids or sediments. Also used for higher viscous liquids.
- Ovoid stirring bars: used in rounded bottom or Erlenmeyer flasks.
- Special shape stirring bars: cruciform stirring bars are used in round bottom tubes.
PURPOSE OF USE - DESCRIPTION
Range of PTFE coated stirring rods. There are various forms of magnets, of various sizes and colors.
Cylindrical stirring rods: they are the most commonly used and have a wide variety of applications.
Great magnetic force and long life thanks to the use of magnetic cores encapsulated in one type made of high-quality PTFE.
Storage:
To avoid demagnetization, do not store magnetic stirrer rods with magnetic core once on top of another, but arranged in pairs.
Do not drop the magnetic stirrer rods on hard surfaces.
